That is the good stuff.
I will always take the beautiful smiling photos too, but the images families come back to years later are often the ones filled with personality. The ones that show who your children really were at this age. The ones that feel like home.
I've spent the past 9 years photographing Perth families, and one thing I've learnt is that the best photos rarely happen when everyone is trying to be perfect.
They happen when everyone forgets about the photos for a minute.
